As renegade scientists, we believe that the academic way of publicating (written way) is not enough in the mass media era nor in the era of moderate emotions.
We also believe that the bidimensionality and the lack of sweat of a scientific publication is enough to satisfy nobody.
Therefore, as scientists who are dedicated to the circus, we choose the scene (as the arena for politicial and poetic action). Where what happens to us is happenning, simultaneously, to everyone... without virtual mediations.
The most revolutionary act we can make today is to pass and arouse sensations and ideas, to generate feelings, political speeches, from the honesty of being skewered by what you want to tell, before, after and during the scene.
We are interested in generating spaces for reflection and doubt, about oneself and the others.
About what we inhabit and what inhabits us.
Denaturalize everyday automatism and the eternal condemnation of the capitalist system.
Resignify the simplicity from a poetic scene or a non stapple corporeal movement.
To detract the focus of the feat within its "spectacularity" and, from a spiral narrative, to be able to place the main objective right there in the process, of being present, in the simultaneity of feeling and recognizing that feeling, in the encounter.
We believe in circus and art as agents of social change, construction, and social deconstruction.
As well as objects of enjoyment, pleasure and contemplation.
We consider it necessary to unify our worlds (of social scientists, musical, plastic, culinary, sexual, artistic) in one, that is multiple and fractal, where the different disciplines complement and enrich each other.
To pass through discomfort is a condition for us to remove the privileges of the beauty and comfortable things we are obligated and used to watch.
Move off comfort zone, bother, disturb, in a scene where the atmosphere confuses feelings and sensatios, where the subjects inhabit unconventional places, where the strangeness is action. These are just some ideas that inspire us to create.
We believe that this already exists, and so we have our referents. But that is not a reason to consider that it is not necessary to do it. We believe we can do it, and we want to do it.
We choose the margins to carry it out.
The margin of our capacities, of our fears, of our forms, of our desire, of our ideas, of our failures.
Because we consider that space, an unknowon space... of our own. And we love it.
